According to the Truthout blog, “In what is being described as the first ever and most comprehensive study of the effects of genetically modified foods on mammalian health, researchers have linked organ damage with consumption of Monsanto’s GM maize.” Considering the fact that it is likely that GMO corn is in most factory produced foods and beverages in one form or another, ie the high fructose corn syrup in most commercial sodas, this points the way to a looming health crisis for our planet.
The organs most affected are the kidneys and the liver. Since these are the organs in our body that detoxify, our autoimmune response is impaired.
Since the advent of GMO corn and its ubiquitous use, the incidences of colon cancer, obesity, heart disease have increased in the human population.
