Kevin Grandia is reporting over at HuffPo that the Penn State Inquiry finds no evidence for allegations against Michael Mann. The independent inquiry from “Penn State University has concluded that there is no evidence to substantiate the claims made against climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann surrounding the emails stolen from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University.”
In other words, this whole thing was cooked up to drum up teabagger hysteria and garner negative publicity about Climate Change right before Copenhagen. The only other question that needs to be answered is which of the various villains who stand to gain by the scuttling of meaningful climate change regulation is behind this travesty. Was it Big Oil? Coal? Power Companies? Who? Whoever was responsible is sure taking a page out of the antics of Big Tobacco. Stay tuned . . .
